Paper worlds

24. April 2014

What can we do with fully written papers, which is not of use anymore?

Normally we crumple it and throw it into the bin. Or we put it into a shredder to make little and fine paper strips. The Irish artist Stefana McClure demonstrates what to do with the used paper in her current solo exhibition “Secret & Lies” at the gallery Josée Bienvenue, NY.

From simple paper strips she form impressive 3D sculptures. A simple map becomes a globe, a piano piece transforms into a small music world, a comic a speech bubble...Nice for the eye and ideal to copy if the every-day bureau life gets boring again.
