Blind Debossing

Blind debossing is and will continue to be the undisputed favorite among the logo debossings. It is charmingly unobtrusive, of high-quality and pleasant to the touch. Sometimes less is just exactly the right thing. Important is, above all, the production with the best tools; high-quality brass debossing stamps are created for every brandbook debossing.

Imitation leather with finely grained leather optic belongs to notebooks as a fish to water. The leather structure best hides initial scratches and abrasion and is perfect for blind debossing, which means it is suited for colourless debossing. By the way, this material is also available in more colours than just black.

Natural, authentic, pure – those who choose natural fibres for their individual notebooks, will not only enjoy the advantage of a large selection of colours, but can also be assured of an outstanding result of a blind embossing. Logos and letterings can be depicted with especially clear edges and yet remain wonderfully subdued.

A blind debossing on natural bonded leather material is one of our favorite combinations. Why? During the debossing process, the material reacts to the warmth of the debossing stamp and causes a very subtle, somewhat darker discolouration – it is thermo reactive. This guarantees excellent visual and noticeable debossing results even in the case of delicate logo motifs and word marks. 



What is thermo leather imitation leather? Two important characteristics can be found here in one material: the imitation leather is (1) unbelievably and pleasantly soft, voluminous and (2) with its thermo reactive characteristic, it can illustrate the finest logos and razor sharp lettering. Fantastic!

The matte-silver material, which recreates a brushed stainless steel optic, is our insider tip among the metallic surfaces. The effect of the blind debossing is as simple as it is successful: on the places where no colour is debossed in the material, the previously structured material now appears smooth and shiny.

In this case, it is not about bright and gaudy – one doesn’t want anything more than a perfect debossing result on a matte black soft-touch material. Charmingly reserved, one truly does leave behind the best impression.

Velvet black, blue, red, purple and a further 62 more colours are available for a blind debossing on velvet. In addition to the smooth velour surface, we also offer finely debossed, velvet-fur structures, that are even convincing to large automobile manufacturers.

Debossing on paper seems to be at first very obvious, an especially beautiful blind embossing effect can be largely obtained with premium papers with a high paper volume or paper with the finest surfaces, for example, fine linen, buckram or microstructures. A finishing that is not only suitable for architects and design agencies.

“Every wrinkle tells a story”– as with faces, very smooth books are also not always the most interesting variation. With a full-surface blind embossing, you can produce books with character whose covers catch the attention of the observers through light and shadow reflections.

It lies in the nature of blind embossing that is very subtle. By using a choice of transparent foils – matte or silky gloss – for the cover material, the debossing effect is further intensified.
